I heard that one must personally experience the main venue of the Kaohsiung online study group in order to truly understand its value. It is said that it feels like being a welcomed guest and being treated with great hospitality and that seeing it in person is better than hearing about it a hundred times.
The planning and execution of Teacher Mei-yun and her team are well deliberated. From posters, and copy production to multi-national interpretations…etc., and members both locally or abroad have full trust and understanding. Even though it was my first time to meet Sister Jiahui, who picked me up on the day of the event, she provided attended service from helping me with my luggage to worrying my hand cramping while signing autographs. She encouraged to take a break and drink some coffee. I was surrounded by that tenderness and love. Simply feel flattered!
When I first met Sister Peizhen, we chatted like old friends about writing. I heard that she takes time off every week to be a volunteer and even hosts events during the pandemic. Brother Xinghong stood tall one moment and crouched down on the ground the next as the photography volunteer in charge of taking care of the whole scene on-site. He worked hard to capture the most beautiful moments of everyone.
At the event, I witnessed everyone loving and working with each other. Teacher Mei-yun also introduced the team members in a timely manner. The relaxed and lively hosting style made the atmosphere delightful. When she mentioned the scene when Master Der-Tzu decided to follow Ven. Master and "devoted her life under the umbrella"; I couldn't help but lean towards her and pretended to be the umbrella holder!
In a corner of the JingSi bookstore, I cited from Master Der-Tzu told "I never image Tzu Chi can achieve global success". Hasn’t the Kaohsiung Online Study Group also achieved “global success”? Teacher Mei-yun flexible and bilingual hosted the event and quickly conveyed the live broadcast feedback to the study group. Then. we had a tour to understand how the volunteers accomplished the multi-lingual interpretation. This is the most rigorous yet relaxed and enjoyable study group. Seeing it in person was truly an experience that cannot be fully conveyed by words alone!
